President

Nicole Setzer

ENG ’08

Nicole Setzer, Eng ’08, a Rutgers Alumni Association (RAA) Class of 1931 award winner, started her alumni involvement shortly after graduation as a member of the Rutgers University Bands Alumni Association (RUBAA). In 2009, she was elected to RUBAA’s Executive Board as Membership Chair, then moved to Member at Large, followed by multiple terms as President. Nicole currently serves as Membership Chair of RUBAA. 2015 marked the 100th anniversary of the Rutgers Marching Band and Nicole was an integral member of the steering committee that produced both a successful fundraising campaign and a memorable celebration during Homecoming. As president of RUBAA, Nicole became a member of the RAA Board of Directors where her service to Rutgers and the RAA became supercharged with various leadership positions with the RAA including chairing the Homecoming/Reunion and Alumni Family Day Committees and serving as vice-president of the RAA. Nicole has been an active member of the Undergraduate Committee and  Nominations Committee. The tricky tray at the RAA Holiday Party would not be the same without her active participation. Outside the RAA, Nicole has served as a Rutgers University Alumni Association Reunion volunteer and an Alumni Panel Speaker for the Rutgers Institute of Industrial Engineers. She has also participated in the Knight of Networking for Student Athletes as an alumni letter winner industry professional.  She has over a decade of experience in the manufacturing industry.

Kenneth Kolanko

RC/ RBS ’07, GSE ‘13

Kenny’s involvement with the RAA began with the Young Alumni committee. A former Scarlet Knight mascot, Kenny has also served on the executive board for the RU Spirit Program Alumni Letterwinners. While a student, he was also a member of Scarlet Key and New Student Orientation. Kenny has worked professionally at Rutgers in Athletic Marketing, Residence Life, and currently with the One Stop Student Services Center.

Marc Goldstone

RC ‘86 CLAW ’94

Marc Goldstone has been a member of the Board of Directors of the RAA for 2 years, serving as interim Secretary in 2023. Marc’s dedication to service for the Rutgers community goes back to his undergraduate years, when he was a member of the Rutgers University First Aid Squad. He has served many organizations as an officer and/or director, including the T.J. Martell Foundation, the Shalom Healthcare Foundation, the Nashville Wine Auction and the New Jersey State Bar Association. For many years, Marc served as a Director and member of the Executive Committee of the American Health Law Association; in respect of his long service, he was elected a Fellow of the AHLA in 2020. Marc was also appointed to the National Emergency Medical Services Advisory Council by the U.S. Secretary of Labor, where he served two terms advising the Federal Government on matters of importance to the EMS and Healthcare community. Marc is a nationally recognized healthcare attorney and speaker, and currently serves as Executive Vice President and Chief Legal officer at Wellpath.

Houshang Parsa

RC ’80

Houshang Parsa has been a member of the RAA since graduating, and on its Board of Directors since 2008.  He has co-chaired the RAA’s Grants & Gifts, Undergraduate and Alumni Family Day committees, as well as coordinating the Annual Meetings. He served as RAA’s Corporate Secretary. While on the Rutgers University Alumni Association’s Board, he chaired its Committee on Inclusion and Diversity. Currently serving his fourth year on Rutgers Senate, with the first three years on its executive board. Houshang is the recipient of the RAA’s Loyal Son and Alumni Trustees awards.

Javid Louis

RC ’03

Javid Louis is an integrated marketing and communications professional currently serving as Director Of Social Media at Ticketmaster.

Javid started his career working at a Jay Z owned advertising agency, where he helped develop strategies for brands looking to connect with consumers through pop culture and music. Inspired by the need for consumers to have one source to keep their finger on the pulse of culture, Javid went on to form a popular blog and content creation business, developing online video for artists including Justin Bieber. Javid later returned to the agency world, initially working on a cause related marketing campaign for pop group One Direction and later building out influencer programming for Jordan Brand and Smirnoff. During the span of his 15+ year career, Javid has continued to use digital channels to help brands define and grow their business, from managing executive social strategy for Deloitte and Moet, to working as part of Twitter’s brand strategy team, Twitter Next, to drive innovation and revenue growth with the platforms largest advertisers.

Yash Dalal

LC ’92 Yash has been involved as an alumnus with Rutgers since his graduation from Livingston College.  He has proudly served as President of the Livingston Alumni Association and was an active board member for decades.  Most recently, he was honored to serve on the Dean’s Advisory Committee for the School of Arts and Sciences.  While at Rutgers, he was President of the Livingston Student Government Association.  Yash has worked in Wealth Management for twenty-five years and is a Managing Director  in Wealth Management at Morgan Stanley.

Jeffrey Armus

LC’76, RBS ’82
Jeff has been involved with RAA as co-chair of the Community Service Committee and former Corporate Secretary.  He currently serves as President of the Livingston Alumni Association.  Jeff has a BA-Economics (LC ’77) and an MBA-Finance (RBS ’82).  Jeff is a retired Accounting and Finance professional with a 39 year career in the industrial gases industry.

Brian Tobin

Brian has been involved with the RAA for over 25 years and is proud to serve as its President in its 191st and 192nd years of existence. Brian has spent most of his career working in the transportation and research public policy sector.
