The Rutgers Alumni Association has a comprehensive set of by-laws that date back to our founding in 1831. They are consistently updated to reflect changing alumni, student and university needs. One major update to those by-laws occurred on December 8, 2008 when the RAA was chartered by the Rutgers University Alumni Association. In 2018, the RAA passed a resolution to formalize an integration with the School of Arts and Sciences, thus becoming the school’s official alumni association.
The current version of the RAA By-Laws was approved on May 18, 2021. They are reviewed, approved and posted annually.
On December 8, 2008, the Rutgers Alumni Association was chartered by the RUAA. This document is undergoing revisions to account for the SAS Integration of 2018.
On May 24, 2018 the Rutgers Alumni Association passed a resolution of integration with the School of Arts and Sciences as their alumni association.
