Get Involved Today To Shape Our Tomorrow

A summer after graduation I was looking to build my network and stay close to other Rutgers Alumni. The RAA's Young Alumni committee was welcoming and gave me the opportunity to create events that brought other recent graduates together. I got involved with the RAA in the fall of 2011 and never looked back!

During my undergraduate days, I was very active in Rutgers Community Action. After I graduated, I was busy giving my time - from leadership roles on the Livingston Alumni Association where I created a Community Service Committee to the Dean's Advisory Council. My service grew to the RAA and I continued giving back to the community and the University. In my career and in volunteering, I advocate for Rutgers.

I heard about the RAA when I went to the Student-Alumni Speed Networking event as an alumna back in 2010 and loved meeting and interacting with so many other alumni and students. A colleague invited me to a board meeting and after attending the spring Meet and Greet I was hooked. I quickly expanded my horizons; I have been a Member-At-Large, chaired several committees and attended every event I can.

As someone who is inherently an introvert yet someone who was looking to give back to the Rutgers community, I joined the RAA Communications a couple of decades ago, wrote some articles for 1766, and made a ton of new friends in the process. The RAA has been an absolute joy to be a part of!
