1968 QUEENS GUARD GATHERING

We always considered ourselves close friends, even though we hadn’t seen each other in almost 40 years.  The last time, in fact, was as members of the 1968 Queens Guard. So, we decided to hold our own reunion.  We had been communicating via e-mail for almost a year, and the idea of a weekend in Las Vegas sounded great to everyone. Nothing formal, just a chance to share memories and renew old friendships.  Bruce Stewart probably said it best: “We are a group whose friendships were interrupted by our careers.”  For many years we didn’t have the benefit of e-mail communications, which our children now take for granted.  But that’s OK.  It made reaching out to each other like we did even more meaningful and rewarding.
